But by mid-2025, most municipalities have not yet completed even the first phases.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What does this law imply for municipalities?<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simpler, traceable, and paperless procedures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mandatory implementation of platforms such as SIMPLE, FirmaGob and Clave\u00danica.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interoperability between departments and transparency towards citizens.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A profound cultural change for officials and taxpayers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>What happens if it is not fulfilled on time?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although it does not include direct sanctions, noncompliance affects the institutional image, hinders internal efficiency, and compromises access to public funds that require digitalized processes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Is there time?
